School Site Council Student Representatives

Attention Students:

 

Would you be interested in serving on the School Site Council this year as a student representative?  We have one student opening; this individual would serve a two-year term. To nominate yourself, please submit your name by completing the google form by Wednesday, August 7th, 2019.  Please contact Ms. Murguia if you have any questions at Integrated Services in the main office, room 147.

Parent Committees

Parents, we are looking for parents willing to serve in our Parent Committees.  We ask that you nominate yourself or someone you know that is willing to serve in the following Parent Committees: English Language Advisory Committee (ELAC), District English Language Advisory Committee (DELAC), School Site Council (SSC), and District Advisory Committee (Title I/DPAC).  This is a great way for parents to get involved and advise our school and district to ensure our students meet their academic goals! You are encouraged to nominate for all 3 committees, but it is not required.  Please complete the google form to make your nominations, or you may stop by our Parent Center from Wednesday, July 31st through Wednesday, August 7th from 7:45 am – 8:45 am.  If you have any questions, please email Ms. Murguia at brenda.murguia@sweetwateschools.org or visit us at Integrated Services Room 147 in the Main office.

 

 

Padres, estamos buscando padres dispuestos a servir en nuestros Comités de Padres. Le pedimos que se nomine a sí mismo o/a alguien que conozca que esté dispuesto a servir en los siguientes Comités de Padres: Comité Asesor de Padres de Alumnos Aprendices de Inglés (ELAC, por sus siglas en inglés), Comité Asesor del Distrito de Padres de Alumnos Aprendices de Inglés (DELAC), Concilio Escolar (SSC, por sus siglas en inglés) y el Comité Asesor del Distrito ( Título I / DPAC). ¡Esta es una excelente manera para que los padres se involucren y asesoren a nuestra escuela y distrito para garantizar que nuestros estudiantes cumplan con sus objetivos académicos! Lunch Applications

Free and Reduced-Price Meals are available to families who qualify. Please complete a lunch application.  For fastest processing we ask families to complete an online application.  If you are unable to complete an online application, a paper form was sent home with your child this week. Please complete only one application for the entire household.  You may list all students who are in your household on the application.  Complete and return the form by Friday, August 2nd, 2019.

If you need assistance our parent center will be open next week to help parents on the following dates and times: Wednesday, July 31st from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm, Thursday, August 1st from 1:00-3:00 pm and Friday, August 2nd from 8:00-10:00 am.

Las comidas gratuitas y de precio reducido están disponibles para las familias que califican. Complete un ” Solicitud de almuerzo”. Para un procesamiento más rápido, complete su solicitud en línea. Si no puede completar una solicitud en línea, se envió una solicitud en papel a casa con su estudiante. Complete solo una solicitud para toda la familia. Puede incluir a todos los estudiantes que están en su hogar en la solicitud. Complete y devuelva el formulario antes del Viernes, 2 de agosto del 2019.

Si necesita ayuda, nuestro centro para padres estará abierto la próxima semana para ayudar a los padres durante las siguientes fechas y horas: miércoles, 31 de julio de 10-12 pm, jueves 1ro de agosto de 1:00-3:00 pm y viernes, 2 de agosto de 8:00 – 10:00 am.

Cougar Camp and Parent Orientation for 9th Grade and New SYH Students

Dear future SYH Parent/Guardian,

The 9th grade Parent Orientation will take place on Wednesday, July 10th from 9:10 am – 11:30 am in the Performing Arts Center at San Ysidro High.  Counselors and support staff will be informing you about High School requirements and academic support programs to help your child succeed in High School.  Please sign up  for the Parent 9th grade Orientation by completing this form:

All 9th grade students and students new to SYH are invited to attend Cougar Camp, the new student orientation, that will take place Tuesday, July 9th through Wednesday, July 10th from 9am – 1:30 pm. Cougar Camp aims to teach students about our campus and school culture to give them to a head start when they begin high school.  If you have not already done so, please sign up your child by completing this form:

 

Transportation for Cougar Camp will be provided for students.  Pick Up time approximately @ 8:15 am at the following locations:
